iTunes is faster on a MacBook than a PC

I have compared the performance of the computer iTunes: Intel Centrino Duo 2 Ghz 2 GB of RAM macbook: 2.4 GHz 2GB RAM I understand that the MacBook has a faster processor, but it seemed that iTunes ran much smoother I think it was built specifically iTunes MacBook architecture and loosely translated for PC / Windows. Any experts know what is faster on a MacBook? is the code (software) on iTunes For Windows or inefficient to macbook processors (hardware) are better suited for iTunes?

macs do not save to your hard drive and PC. to gather information on a pc you have to go all the way to your hard drive and locate the folder, then the exe and macs are a bit more efficient in the sense that everything is there.
