College Macbook Deal

DEAD PIXEL on Macbook Pro Question? URGENT...?
I recently bought a Macbook Pro last Tuesday and then someone realized just now that I have "dead pixel" on a small part of my screen.
Now, It's really my first time to buy a Mac...but is dead pixel bad? Is it a big deal?
I bought a Macbook Pro for college and for graphic design work.
Should I go back t the store and ask for a replacement?
Will this "dead pixel" become worse?
Any opinions? Thanks!
A laptop monitor basically consists of lots of little lights that flash specific colours in order to display stuff. A dead pixel is a light that has gone out, rather like a burnt-out lightbulb. It means anything trying to display using that particular bulb/pixel won't be displayed properly.
Try pressing the dead pixel into the monitor, or wiggling it in place a bit: it may simply have become loose and this will usually fix it.
Unfortunately, some manufacturers won't bother replacing monitors with dead pixels. You can ask them, but don't get too upset if they say dead pixels aren't covered by warranty.
