Does apple ever replace macbooks?
I've been having wifi/airport problems for a pretty long time and have visited an assortment of "geniuses" at the "genius" bar at my local apple store but none of them seem to know what they're doing. They've "repaired" my macbook twice already but the problems still occur. Is it out of the question for me to ask them to replace it?? I just feel like this macbook is becoming more of a pain (paying fare, appointments, waiting for repairs, etc) than a convenience i thought it would be. It's a black 2.2 GHz macbook with 2GB of RAM and 250GB of HD and am still under warranty if that even matters.
If its still under warranty and you're 100% sure that its the MacBook and not the wireless network/router, then you could possibly get a replacement. I think if you raise enough of a fuss, you could go with the 3 strikes its out/lemon policy most consumer products work under. But you would need to prove that its in the MacBook and not the other elements of the network (you need to know that another MacBook of the same kind works on it, not just some other computer altogether, otherwise they can claim you're not configuring things properly).
