Help! I'm installing new internal hard drive on Macbook Pro!! Thank You!!! :) ?

I bought a used Macbook Pro (not the new one) recently that is 2.16GHz Intel Core Duo, 2GB RAM. The current hard drive is 100GB, I ordered a 640GB SATA internal hard drive from Newegg.com with plans on installing it myself. I think I need to re-install the operating system, but don't know what I need to do so(some sort of boot disk? or image?) I have plans to upgrade the ram sticks and processor if possible so that I can use the notebook for audio industry standard programs like Reason and Pro Tools efficiently with no problems down the line. Thank you for your time, have a blessed day.

Just because its SATA doesn't mean it will work. I hope you didn't buy a desktop hard drive for your laptop. If your ordered a 3.5 inch hard drive you mine as well send it back for a refund cause it wont work. Also newegg doesn't sell 640 gb laptop hard drives. 500 gb is the largest.

Desktop Hard Drives are 3.5" and laptop Hard Drives are 2.5"

This is the largest hard drive for a laptop on newegg

But if you send back the desktop drive for a laptop drive then yes your going to have to re install the operating system and all the drivers and programs that were on it when you bought it.
