Problem with WEP in Macbook?

I'm trying to connect my Router Macbook a BTVoyager using a 128-bit WEP key. I have tried putting the wrench with a $ and around the button with "" but no luck (with no IP address assigned by your router, nor am I able to ping the router). Someone has any ideas? You can not change the configuration of network security so it must work with the current configuration.

I have to enter WEP keys in hexadecimal my MacBook. Apart from this peculiarity, I had no problems connecting to various WEP enabled access points. Do not preface the key with anything, just type in the hexagonal simple. Oh, and be sure to add it to your "key" to never need to re-enter, or if you must repeat this every time you want to connect.
